I just love this book! Definitely for absolute beginners. Goes a little slower with plenty of fun songs in between to practice the notes which you've just learned. This helps you to remember everything without it becoming too boring! Much better than "Alfred's Teach Yourself To Read Music which jumps into more intermediate stuff too quickly. Can't wait to get The Hal Leonard Guitar Method Books 2 & 3! If you're trying to teach yourself the guitar for the Very First Time then I highly recommend The Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 1!! The CD & the online audio access code that comes with the book is also a major plus!!
